Google maps, a magic wand and what I share!

Once upon a time in the pre-android era we travelers could imagine that roaming around would be this easier with google maps. When in a new place we usually had to the locals the directions and landmarks to get there. Most of the times, the guidelines were incorrect and time consuming and in some cases hazardous.

And here came android with maps. Though there were GPS and hard map. But a very few of us could read them. Google maps is the best thing till date for urban and off beat movers. There are dozens of features one can dream.

Last year when we in Goa, we rented scooters to see the city and nearby places along with the beaches. Maps tooks us even through people’s yard and that was fun.

Millions of android maps users, officially known as local guides are the contributors here. We do share photos, answer questions and review places for others’ benefit.

What I mostly love to share in maps are sharing photos, and answering people’s queries about places where I have been.

I believe this community of ours can bring the world closer enough by sharing our places through this app of google.

I usually take part in accessibility 'yes/no’s promoted by maps whenever I return from a trip or from a new place.

And I love making reviews of eating places wherever I go. This helps people who are passionate about what they eat.

The job of a million field workers is being done by the finger tips of ‘I-you-he’ and us who by helping others getting helped equally. And this is how we are bringing our world closer than ever.
