Google Map suggestions.

Google Maps can not be viewed as restaurants, cafes, places of worship, and markets on computers and mobile phones, unless the user is connected to the Internet, making it difficult to use the service in places where there is no Internet connection. Need to improve the same.

Google map taking more CPU and memory when using it in computer and sometimes it freezes. Please make it faster and improve the same.

  • Map Navigation on Android and IOS consume lot of Battery Power ,
to save this a new feature which was available on Old Symbian phones has to be introduced now on Android and IOS.
A Power saver option is needed for Map -
If there is no change in Direction , Screen must turn off automatically (When this option is Enabled) and should alert when there is a change in direction or a wrong deviation happened from the route .Example - Just before the voice alert (turn right after 300 Meters ) Screen should pop up . Our phone display consume more power on all devices and Battery and heating problem is always a issue .
More and more users will use Map as it have become essential part of life . Local Guides have packed with information , photos and 360 .

Hi @Riz51 you are right but Google Maps have another option “offline maps” before you go anywhere you can download offline maps.

日本ではGoogleマップのオフラインモードは使えず、これらの機能は他社のアプリに依存せざるを得ない状況です。

そのような国(地域)の場合は、OpenStreetMapが使えるようにして欲しいと思います。

Hello @Riz51 ,

Thanks for reaching out.

I would like to suggest using the Google Maps Go available at the Play Store.

It takes way less space, it is designed to run smootly on devices with less memory.

By the way I have moved your topic away from the idea exchange and added the appropriate tags to your post.

Thanks for the useful idea, @Sariga . I’m changing it’s label to Google Maps. It should be better recognised there.

Hey @Sariga ,

Thanks for reaching out.

We had a similar topic today. You can check it out here - Google Map suggestions.

I will merge both topic together.

@GeorgesHR

Thanks for reaching to the post .

But it is a map suggestion but it is posted below a unrelevent post where the person was not knowing the offline feature of map .

I am pointing out a feature request while navigation .
