I would like to see if there was anyway to use Google Map Images in a printed product? I specifically would like to use UK attractions with (ideally) and without dogs. If anyone would like to help in this project - please reach out to me! I have some good finds already but just really find them by chance. Areas of interest are: Lake District, Peak District, Norfolk & Suffolk, Yorkshire and Cornwall/Devon. Any help greatly received! Thanks

So do you need to get in touch with Local Guides to ask permission to use their existing photos uploaded to Google Maps?

There is no way to reach out to Local Guides except if they have provided their contact details in their Maps profile text. Only a tiny minority have provided this. Or you might be lucky that they are using the same username here on Connect. Here on Connect you can then contact them via Private Message.

Hi @NigelianPhillips as well as Mr @MortenCopenhagen !

First of all I’m going to ask if those are for sale,for publicity or for personal use..!?

I think if it’s for personal use ( like anniversary gift :wrapped_gift:) or for publicity an screenshots directly from the business main page ( if those images are available there!) will make it simple..

But if for business purposes I think :thinking: then I’ll be simple to reach those buildings and set an contract with them according to needs ( pics needed, quantity and quality) ..

Sorry, stealing someone’s work and pictures are actually never okay. Some countries have a fair use rule, but that is not a universal rule. We should not encourage anyone to steal photos.

Ok then I got it ! For me it depends on what those pics are needed for…

But it’s clear that no one has the right on them if isn’t their owners. ..!
