Hi guys,
I’m writing this post as part of the application to the local guides connect in San Jose.
Well, the main reason i keep updating the maps/photos/review is the people behind it.
Let’s say that i wrote about my barber Shauli lev in israel, i wanted people to know how professional Shauli is. I wanted to connect him with future customers, for the success of his businesses, as he is a friend as well. I wanted English speaking visitors to easily access this information and get a good treatment and good experience.
For the Hebrew speakers around, it’s a lot easier for them to communicate with the environment to find the right barber/hair dresser for them (as well, many in this area will have decent English).
this is just one example of many other cases.
Sometimes it’s an amazing/interesting/unique picture i want to share and many thousands of people look at it. No words needed to describe it.
Another time it’s about a great but very small restaurant (named “no name”) which is family owned and the same family cooks, serves and clean, on a tiny island in Thailand. My heart came out to them and i wanted them to have presence on the map. I hope they are doing well ![]()
In other occasions it’s about bad places that people should avoid. I hate to write bad reviews, but will do it if a business or a place earned it. Hopefully less people will suffer that service/treatment and the place can improve for the future customers.
So yes, the passion is people, both the crowd and also the business owners, When i can help others from my experience i do it. Locally or globally, i have plenty to share.
