As a local guide I like to suggest business on the location, products, suggest trading hours and add photos on Google maps. I enjoy taking photos of the great places I visit and I`m grateful that I have such a great platform to share it on. Being a local guide is great fun and I am able to help and review places I visit and find new locations. With the help of Google, I am able to reach people.
I had visited a New startup from Bangalore India few months ago and took a few photos from the shop. I did not find that place on the google maps and added the shop and a few pictures and added a good review.
A few days ago I had gone to the same shop and the business owner told me that people are finding his business on the Internet and are calling him and he got few good orders even from the different districts and asked to ship them to their city! Then he added that they had seen the good reviews and the pictures looked good of the frames and they wanted similar ones.
I felt very happy that my small effort brings in happiness to small and medium businesses
