Does anyone know what’s happening with the Google Local Guide revamp? I went to fill out the initial form again from my email and was sent to this page:
Looks like the Local Guide experience is changing. How is it changing? What is changing about it? Are there more perks for trusted 360 photographers???
@LukeAtticus
The Google Street-ViewTrusted program is also related to Google Maps and was/is linked to the Local Guides Program. There are rumors that the two programs may be separated again, but I have not seen any official (not under NDA) announcement by Google. By my knowledge, the current situation is still that all Google Street-View Trusted members are automatically also Local Guides. It does not work the other way. With that I mean, there are lots of Local Guides that are not participating in the Google Street View Trusted program. This specific program is related to 360 sphere photography and blue line contributions (linked 360 photos).
Under this program, it is possible to offer yourself for hire, so that other businesses can hire you to create 360 tours of their business.venue. As you can read in the announcement that you shared, it is all currently being revamped and thus we shall have to wait and see what will change.
The Local Guides Program on the other hand is not being revamped at the moment.

I too have been verified as a trusted photographer but have not been able to access the discussion board. Could you please help submit my case so I could get access to the thread? I would love to help out and contribute more, still learning how to be an active member of this community.
I received the email confirmation on May 2nd, 2020.
