Google should, filter out the local guides who are professionally committed as guides and help them connect to people like local and international tourists, enabling them to earn and make international connections. knowledge is power and guiding people does require knowledge, and many people like me are very knowledgeable about their own cities, and they can become local guides who are able to collaborate and make a difference on a global space, at the same time making the experiences of people visiting an adventure.

It happens repeatedly that Local Guides get mistakenly taken for being Tourist Guides. I believe there are existing websites where Tourist Guides can meet their customers. Or maybe inquire at the local tourist information, they will know where and how to get tourist customers.
Google might be working on this or they might not. Everything is a business secret until new products are launching.
I think such a new service will need to be separate from Google Maps to not make the mix up an even bigger problem.
