Ever since I learned of the ‘Golden Hour’ I’ve been wanting to organise a meetup around that theme. So, here we are - a Golden Hour sunset photo walk meetup.
Evan Walker pedestrian bridge is where we will meet up. At one hour before sunset, at 7:15pm we will depart from there and proceed to the Docklands for sunset at 8.22pm. To get there in good time before sunset, we will be aiming to leave as close to 7.15pm as possible from the bridge.
This meetup is for anyone interested in photography - whether that is on a mobile phone or advanced photographic equipment. Or, if you just want to come along and enjoy the views and the company. Feel free to bring a friend.

As an outdoor meetup is dependent on weather, please ensure you check here or set an alert for notifications to stay posted for last minute changes. But, I’m hoping for the most perfect weather.

You might want to go a bit further down the river, the sunset will be occluded by buildings from that bridge on that day.

@PaulPavlinovich When you say ‘further down’, which direction were you referring to? Towards Docklands or Birrarung Marr?

Towards Docklands. Spencer Street Bridge can be good, Webb Bridge can be interesting, although you’re more likely to want the cool low shadows from that in your images.
Assuming no clouds you do get a while with the light you crave, so you should have time to walk from your starting point to Docklands along the river in the time frame you’ve given.

I have a 5am shift start at Puffing Billy on that day that finishes at 5pm @MariaNgo I am likely to get home and fall asleep so no its not likely that I would get into the city.
