The week of September 17’s topic is the State of South Carolina. What do you know about South Carolina besides its famous Myrtle Beach?
I had a chance to visit this State to see a friend, she invited me to get some water in the city of Blackville where she declares the best taste of spring water. Out of my curiosity, we are all going together she brought so many empty containers and jugs.
This place is famous because it is said that water can heal the sick. The spring water comes from the ground and filters through many layers of sand and gravel. To make it easy for the public they put a spout to fill the jug and container.
The drive is very peaceful passing a couple of towns with beautiful scenery. As we came up to the location it is a big gravel parking lot there are about 6 well pumps with 4 spouts on each pump it is free to take as much as you want. This spring water is running 24/7.
When we got there, many people were doing what we were going to do to fill the jugs or containers. My friend confessed is this is the only water that she drinks. I would do the same if I live close by.
We try to fill up every container we have to take back to Michigan. Oh my, let me tell you it is the BEST taste of spring water ever.
Once upon a time, this area belongs to the Native Americans. During the revolution, a wounded British soldier was taken to this place and healed.
Please read the writing in this photo, it will tell the original story behind this God’s Acre healing spring water.
If you are in the area, please bring containers and get some water from this spring and let me know what you think about the water.
The board told the story about the healing acre
