May 18, 2023 is Global Accessibility Day! It is celebrated every third Thursday in May. In commemoration of the 2023 GAAD, One Accessibility Initiative meet-up is officially listed as part of GAAD events.
Our "One Accessibility Webinar Series" was celebrated with two activities:
On Thursday 18th May 2023, our team and accessibility experts, enthusiasts and Local Guides gathered on Twitter Space to listen to stories and experiences around inclusion/accessibility. Local Guides discussed various issues around accessibility especially awareness. There was a consensus that more cities and individuals need to know more about accessibility and inclusion.

On Saturday 20th May 2023, we hosted a webinar on Google Meet to interact with Solomon Awosupin, product manger from Google. We reviewed some of the impacts their products & services are making on persons with disabilities and efforts to close digital barriers. Local Guides asked him more questions after the interview.
GAAD is an annual event aimed at creating awareness in the tech and digital sector in order to make products and services accessible for everyone especially persons with disabilities(PwDs).
