Glitch in google map

Major glitch in google map.

I mooved a place from google map to its exact position last day now that turned in to this. Anyone knows why

What exactly is the problem @Adheesh ? I can only see 2 screenshots where the pin was moved, which was what you wanted to do, right? Please share some more details.

At one instance it shows a place which i corrected last day. When i further zoom it goes to the previous location

Ok, now I understand what you mean @Adheesh . As the edit is quite recent, it is possible that the info has not been updated across all systems/servers. Please wait at least a couple of days before checking again. Most likely it will be correct then at all zoom levels.

One more thing which is quite important here on the forum: if you want to make sure that another Connect user sees a reply you give, make sure to ‘tag’ them by typing the ‘@’ symbol and then select that user from the list (or start typing the name if there is no list).

Hello @Adheesh

Although you explained the problem, to make that more clear can you provide the Maps link?

Further, I understand the Maps data at different zoom levels arrives from distinct sources.

If you can navigate correctly then the data is accurate. The syncing of the data at different zoom levels may take some more time.

So, can you confirm whether the navigation takes you to the corrected pin location?

Hello @Adheesh
Although you did not provide the link, I could locate the place mentioned in your post.
Here is the link
Abel and aron stores
near Valavumpady busstop, Cheranalloor, Kerala 683544
https://maps.app.goo.gl/LgT3FSDZ4bVFiPki6

Surprisingly, I find the pin maintains the same location at all zoom levels. I tested that on a desktop also.
I suggest, you clear the app cache & try once again.

Further, I find some peculiarities in your post as well as at that POI.
You created the screenshot with North downwards. Was that intentional? Or, were you navigating at that place? Dark mode becomes available only during night navigation.

Only you have posted a review at that place.

But then, that’s a two-star review , and does not contain any understandable characters. All are emojis or at most some sign language. That’s undesirable.
Further, to reach the two hundred characters stipulation, you have used dots. That too is an incorrect practice.
Yet, I am not sharing any screenshot here. Trust, you will do the necessary changes to match the standard expectations of a review.

Nevertheless, I appreciate even the store is Bête Noire still you are trying to correct the pin location.

@C_T sorry i tried get a badge in my starting days of the google contributions. Latter i find this is against google guidlines am trying to correct this.

Appreciate your candidness @Adheesh

Would like to see the correction soon.

Nevertheless, what happened to the problem stated in this post?

Did you try after clearing the cache? Is the problem still there or stands resolved?

@C_T its resolved

Hello @Adheesh

That’s not sufficient.

Since you could capture two screenshots with distinct pin locations, the problem was there.

Having said so, If any other user faces a similar dilemma, there should be some guidance on how to resolve that.

In this way, to help the community, can you mention the steps adopted to solve the problem?

Hello @C_T as this problem happened to me in various places major responses i got to resolve this issue is cleaning the app cache and check again. But i done this thing in other instances but it didn’t work well in all cases. To make sure i didn’t clear the cache of the app. Insted of this as @JanVanHaver mentioned earlier that this edits are recent so it take some time to update the changes to all servers. So i just give time to google for rectifies this issue next day it all looks good. Thanks community for your cooperations and guidance.
