Ghangad Fort, Lonavala, Maharashtra

This is a fort built under the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th Century. Located at the border of Raigad and Pune districts of Maharashtra, this fort was used as a watchtower during it’s prime.

Trekking Experience

Public transport is easily available till Lonavala, further till the base village, one has a scarse but reliable ST Bus service. The trek takes 30 minutes to reach the top, an hour to explore the top and an easy descend of 15 minutes will take you back to Ekole village (Base).
