Hello Local Guides.

Today I’m sharing with all a very famous flower of Bangladesh :bangladesh:

This is a royal feeling inside the name Gandharaj, this is such a feeling as the king of scent.

I was talking about Gardenia flower, in Bangali language we call it গন্ধরাজ/Gandharaj.

Gardenia is one of the fragrant flower in Bangladesh. This flower is highly valued for mild sweet aroma. Gardenia is used in various cosmetic products by extracting essential oils from the petals of flowers. Therefore, the cultivation of Gardenia flowers on a commercial basis is very profitable.

Gardenia flowers are seen in almost every front of house in the village, park and garden.

The tree is appreciated in all places for formatting and flower fragrance, so the park, garden and house are unimaginable without the Gardenia flower tree.

Gardenia flowers begin to bloom in late spring and early summer, and when this flower blooms and is fragrant around, the fragrance of this flower is so sharp that it will easily take away the mind of any person. The smell of flowers is absolutely distinctive. Summer arrival madness smell is drunk in the air flooded flora. Especially in the darkness of the night the intensity of the smell increases further.

Many people say that Gardenia flower saplings are produced from seeds, while others say that it is possible to make saplings from the branche of Gardenia flower tree. I do not have any idea about how the saplings of the Gardenia flower plant is made. But it is available to buy in the local market and after planting seedlings, it takes time for almost two to three years the flower is coming.

Thank you so much for reading my post and you can let me know in the comment box below what this flower is known in your country.

In most cases, they peel the skin of the branch of one tree (maybe 10cm). Then they wrap it together by putting soil around the skinless branch with plastic to cover it. They then spray water often until they see the root coming out from skinless and they then cut it and plant it elsewhere @KamalHossenR .

The system of making and processing seedlings is somewhat similar to our native ones.

Thank you @Sophia_Cambodia for share with me your native seedling method system.

First photo is a ‘slice of heaven’, maybe that’s why they named ‘Garden’ after it :grinning:

So beautiful, so pure. How long does it stay out after plucking it off, Kamal? @KamalHossenR
