Gara mountain in Dohuk, you can see Saddam’s palace on top of the mountain . The height of the summit of Mount Gara is 2151 meters above sea level, northeast of Dohuk. The summit of Mount Gara is considered a natural tourist site, as it overlooks the resorts of Sulaf, Ashauh, Anishki and Bamerni to the north. It is reported that Saddam Hussein had built a palace for him in this area. There is also a road covered with asphalt linking the mountain’s foot and the palace ruins.
