Heading to an IPL match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is pure excitement—but figuring out where to park can quickly turn into a challenge. With strict traffic restrictions and limited access around the venue, planning your parking in advance is just as important as booking your tickets. Whether you are driving in or looking for a smoother commute, here are the smartest and most hassle-free ways to park (or skip parking altogether) and enjoy the match without the stress.
List-1 Official Parking (ONLY with Pass)

If you have a parking label (VIP / authorized pass), you can park close:
JP Park (P-1) – near Gate 3
SDMC Parking Vikram Nagar (P-2) – near Shahidi Park
Govt Lady Noyce Sr. Secondary school (P-3)
Juvenile Justice Board Office (P-4)
Entry is allowed for all with valid pass only via Vikram Nagar cut on BSZ Marg. Without label, entry is denied. So, avoid strictly if you do not have the official pass.
List-2 BEST OPTION (For Public): Park & Ride Zones

These are official, safest and recommended options:
Mata Sundari Road Parking
Rajghat Power House Road
Velodrome Road (near IG Stadium)
Shanti Van Parking / Rajghat Service Road
Park at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat, Velodrome Road, or Shanti Van and take official shuttle buses to the stadium. These are designated match-day parking zones, so you avoid fines and chaos near the stadium. Smooth entry & exit compared to stadium roads, especially if you leave right after the match.
The Shuttle buses run from parking to stadium (before match) and from stadium to parking (after match) This is the most practical option if you are self-driving.
Option-3 Smart Hack (Highly Recommended)
Many regulars at the IPL matches including me do this:
Park at a metro station parking ITO or Supreme Court and then take metro to Delhi Gate. You will completely avoid match-day traffic jams and post-match gridlock. This is the fastest way to enter/exit the area and is ideal if you want zero stress. This avoids traffic jams and long exit delays after match
Option-4 Cab Drop-Off Zones
Option-4 If you are not self-driving then take a cab and get dropped near Rajghat or Maulana Azad Medical College (Gate 2 side), then walk 10–15 minutes. No parking worries, no searching for space, just get in and enjoy the match. It is the best option for groups or if you want a smooth arrival without planning logistics.
