The Galician Castle on a high hill above the Dniester River (also called Starostynsky) is considered the city’s calling card. The first mention of the citadel dates back to 1114. However, as a castle-fortress, the Galician Castle was formed in the 14th century, when wooden and earthen fortifications were built on a hill above the city, which were supposed to protect the surrounding lands.
The fortress repeatedly became the object of attacks and trials. In particular, in 1490, rebels led by Mucha tried to capture it, and in 1621 it was seriously damaged by a Tatar raid. During the War of Liberation of the Ukrainian People, the troops of Bohdan Khmelnytsky managed to capture the castle in 1649, thanks to which the stronghold even more entered the history of the struggle for the independence of Ukrainian lands.

I love the view of this castle @AnnaVivat
And, although it is not very big, it looks well-maintained.
I remember visiting the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, and the color combination of the walls and the roof appears similar.

Hast Du auch eine Führung durch das Schloss Neuschwanstein mit gemacht?
@TusharSuradkar
It was an unfortunate incident, though we wanted to, @Annaelisa
After reaching the top of the castle, we realized the entry ticket and guided tour must be booked at the base, on the main road.
Due to a shortage of time, we returned from the castle’s main entrance
Ich habe die Führung durch das Schloss mit gemacht, erstaunlich was sich so ein König alles einfallen ließ, interessant und sehenswert
