For me being part of Local Guides means being connected, be creative and know diversity.
I have always loved to know different places and share them, as I say: share the good things, but I only talked about them, I never wrote about them, until I found Google Local Guides.
First of all, I would like to explain to you how started my Google Local Guide Love:
One year ago, I received a notification from Google Maps asking me to share my experience at my favorite place in Santo Domingo: Colonial Zone, as it is my favorite I decided to share some photos and opinions, really wanted everybody knew it and since that day I love to visit different places not only for getting experience but sharing with the world.
Google Local Guides means to me be connected with the world, grow your creativity and know the diversity everyone has to provide.
Why means to be connected? Because one person out of my country is going to know about the Dominican Republic because of me, or one person who lives here is going to know a new and amazing place because I shared some photos and opinions, that´s a real connection, that´s what life is about, Google Guide encourages you to share, and not to keep for yourself the good things the world has to offer, I can see through other´s eyes and so they do through mine, you do not get a simple community, you get a connection, you share a passion.
Why means to be creative? Because you have to choose the correct words to describe how you felt, how was the experience and do not leave any detail and give the information with the correct feeling, the one you have got. Creative for taking photos that show how amazing the place is, creative for doing others feel what you felt while they read, creative for making a “simple” place a wonderful place.
Why means diversity? It does not mean diversity only because is a worldwide community, it is diversity because you can find different opinions about the same place, different perspectives about every aspect of the place, even different photos and it is so awesome to observe how everyone has different opinions and discoveries I did not know. Google Local Guides Community shows how big the world is.
Google Local Guides means to be helpful with people you do not know, and it feels amazing to know I help the visitors to live new experiences and help small and new business to get customers and grow because if I received an amazing experience, I have to share it for the good of everybody.
