Friday Favorites: Edge of the World, beaches in Indonesia, and more

Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, Edge of the World, beaches in Indonesia, and more.

@MashaPS : Do you know where the edge of the world is? This week, @AtharHashmi took us there in his post “Edge of The World, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” What a stunning place! The Local Guide tells us all about how to reach the Edge of the World from Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, how much it would cost, and more. What amazed me the most was the story of how these colossal cliffs came to be in the middle of nowhere. Are you curious to find out? Then make sure to read @AtharHashmi’s post and let him know if you’ve been there, too.

@KlaudiyaG: It’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and the beach is constantly on my mind. That’s why the gorgeous ocean photos in @Reza_F 's post “Pesona 3 Surga, Seram Utara” drew me in. But his narrative was even more intriguing. He and his friends traveled for many hours by motorbike, car, ferry, and even on foot to reach the beautiful Saleman from Ambon in Indonesia. Their plan was to visit three beaches there, but the mountains on the way made them feel like they were in a Jurassic Park movie. The Local Guide also went snorkeling, fishing, and sightseeing. If you want to go somewhere dreamy, even only virtually, I invite you to check out his post.

@Giu_DiB : Local Guides guide others on and off the map. And when it comes to preserving the environment and recycling, they can have some great ideas to share. Do you want to know how to give a second life to old soy sauce bottles and yogurt containers? @MariaNgo has the answer for you in her post “Reuse Repurpose Recycle - 2021.” She was inspired to share her creative ways of repurposing everyday items by @Cecilita ’s #LetsRecycle challenge. Do you recycle or contribute to sustainable places on Google Maps?

Congratulations to @AtharHashmi @Reza_F @MariaNgo for wonderful posts shared by @KlaudiyaG here… Reza, it reminds me of my trip to Liang Beach, Ambon back in 2018 and I love to see the beautiful things we can create by repurposing used items like Maria.
