Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, diving in Indonesia, being a foodie Local Guide, and more.
@KlaudiyaG : Among the many great stories I read this week, @indahnuria ’s “REVISITING TANJUNG PUTUS ISLAND, PARADISE IN LAMPUNG” was one of my favorites. I loved how she described her diving and snorkeling adventures at Tanjung Putus Island in Lampung, Indonesia. She even did a night dive—something she was very eager to try. Looking at Indah’s photos, it seems like Indonesia is a bucket-list spot for any avid diver: the pristine beaches and clear waters, marine diversity, and breathtaking views are just some of the benefits. Explore Tanjung Putus Island virtually in her post.
@Giu_DiB : I enjoyed @FalguniP ’s post “Being a Foodie local guide - Explore, Eat and review,” in which she tells us about how she combines her love for food with her passion for guiding. Falguni explains how she uses Google Maps to discover new places through the Updates tab and the community feed and how she takes advantage of the search feature. She also shares valuable tips on how to provide the most helpful information to others in our contributions while supporting the business. My favorite takeaway? Be honest and kind!
@DeniGu : Local Guides’ posts can cheer me up in any situation. This week, I got my dose of happiness and tranquility thanks to @AL_Rahat ’s post “Lockdown days in Cox’s Bazar.” His photos allowed me to walk down one of the longest sand stretches in Bangladesh and enjoy it at different times of the day without leaving my chair! How awesome is that? If you also want to bask in the sun, watch stunning sunsets, and take in the colors of the beach, make sure to read @AL_Rahat ’s post.
@Bobiisha : The post that caught my eye this week was “Water Kingdom at Ashulia, Dhaka” by @AbdullahAM . In it, he presents a water park in Dhaka that’s great for families who want to spend a fun day out, just like he did with his children. Abdullah mentions that there are water attractions for everyone, but his colorful photos made me want to be a kid again! Do you want to know more about what you can do there? Then don’t miss all the helpful details in his post.
