This is the truest French crêpe that you will encounter in France. The crêpe is huge but thin, usually filled in with beurre du sale or any other filling. For instance, kids like eating it with Nutella. I prefer crêpes nature = with no filling. However, in Russia we call crêpes « blinis ». It’s funny but there are « blinis » as well, but they are different, they look like flapjacks. Since I am Russian, I like eating crêpes with crème frais = smetana or jam.
The French usually eat crêpes for breakfast, desert or goûter (at about 16-17 o’clock).
