Found a Green Oasis: Escaping the City at ROOTS Cafe

Dear LGs,

Life’s been a non-stop blur of work and deadlines, so when I got a chance to escape, I headed straight to the Harry Potter POP-UP store in Ambience Mall, Gurugram, on April 10th, 2025. Wand shopping and stocking up on exclusive merch was just the magical escape I needed. After channeling my inner wizard, my stomach started rumbling, and @ssiddharth2000 and I knew we had to find a new food spot.

That’s when we stumbled upon ROOTS Cafe in the heart of the Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Park. This isn’t just a cafe; it’s an entire experience. Managed by Guided Fortune Samiti, Sustainable OASIS, this place is a true testament to sustainability. It’s surrounded by a massive nursery where you can actually buy plants, and they even have little stalls for clothes and hats. The entire cafe is a green sanctuary, making you feel completely disconnected from the city’s chaos.

The best part? The food. Everything is grown organically and is completely free from chemicals. They even use solar power to run the place! We ordered a feast of sabudana fingers, egg bhurji with toasted bread, and a delicious stuffed ragi paratha. For drinks, we kept it simple with a refreshing jaljeera and a cold coffee. Every single bite was pure, healthy, deliciousness. You can taste the freshness and quality in every single dish. The seating arrangements, both inside and outside, are super comfortable, and the vibe is just unmatched.

ROOTS Review

We left feeling full, refreshed, and incredibly inspired by the sustainable model of this cafe. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking a wholesome meal in a tranquil, eco-friendly setting. We’re already planning our next trip back! If you would like to join us, do connect with us on comments to plan a meet-up.
