Hi Everyone! my name is Langardhi and i am from Indonesia For me, Google Local Guides means Helpfull Journal and Karma. There is so many impact that I had since become a Google Local Guides, three things in top of my mind for becoming local guides is Helpfull Journal, Supporting and Karma. Writing review as a local guides on Google Maps based on my experiences that I got from visiting some places like restaurant, service business, or tourism spots are just like making a journal. Journal which other people can read my stories that I wrote by sharing my world on google maps, then make it easier to discover local places for the tourists or strangers.
Everytime I write a review of some places, it will helps at least more than two people, the prospective customers and the local business owner. For example if I adding the unlisted places like 24hours motorcycle repairing service on Google Maps, it will helps many people who got motorcycle problems that needs to be fix at anytime, and it will also help the local business owner find their costumer. Wow my journal is very usefull for others!
About five years ago, Me and gf’s wants to go picnic to Fruits Garden Mangunan Yogyakarta and i am using google maps as my navigator application, I surprised it doesn’t led me to the destination but graveyards. So I decided to help Google Maps and involved in Local Guides program then navigate people more to not getting lost situation like me before.
Karma or we can call it as feedback, I can give the rating and review for every place that I have visited on Google Maps, good or bad testimony based on the experiences that I feels. I will give good review to the place that satisfied me so the reader can make sure to come visit the place which I’ve been reviewed without any doubt. Otherwise I’ll give the positive critics to the unsophisticated places, so the local business owner can optimize their business to be better.
