While in Odisha, I stopped outside the Jagannath Puri Temple and tried this super local version of Dahi Vada Aloo Dum.
The vadas were soaked in a light, chhachh-like water, topped with curd, salt, spicy aloo dum, chopped onions, and namkeen — all mixed up in a simple dona. It may look basic, but the taste? Total comfort food and so satisfying!
Later, in Bhubaneswar, right opposite Vivanta Hotel, I found a tiny stall selling bhajiya and jalebi — hot, crispy, fresh, and just what you need on a travel day.
