I often come across this issue when fixing the incorrect address.
E.g. a shop in a shopping mall is supposed to be on level 2, but it is currently wrongly located on level 1. Using ‘edit’ function. Sometimes, the option to change the levels will appear on the bottom right of Google Map (Exhibit A), while other times such option will not be available (Exhibit B). The missing option will then prevent me from correcting the marker onto the correct level on Google Map. (As shown in Exhibit B, the marker is stuck on level 1. Note that the shop’s unit no. is #02-18, thus is supposed to be corrected on level 2, but yet there seems to be no way of changing to level 2)
Greatly appreciate if anyone could advise on how to fix such issues.
When you see the Level Indicator as show in the lower right corner or your screenshot, it means this site has Indoor Maps - which is created by the Site Owner / representative and submited to Google.
We as LocalGuides cannot places a Business to a specific Level (as defined in Indoor Maps). Only the Site Owner can.
It just feel so weird to me both shops in Exhibit A and Exhibit B are in the same location, but yet I could only resolve the issue for one but not the other.
From my previous experience, when I add a missing place in a Mall with Indoor Maps, if that addition got approved and published, that place will simply be shown no matter which Level you have choosen to display.
Fully agree, there is no issue with adding a missing place. The issue only surfaces when editing an existing place. Hopefully, someone in @team_t could help to look into the issue.
What @YK1001 shared with you is a good explanation and idea on how to tackle this problem.
Should you have any further questions regarding your question I advise you to address them to the Google Maps & Earth Help forum. There you can find topics concerning your issue and you can ask for help too.
