Fix wrong house number

Hi all!

I would like a little help. :slightly_smiling_face: How can I fix a wrong house number? I already sent many times to fix but still wrong ;(

I’am Brazilian and the default house number system is the “metric” (default in major cities). The house number system is how long in meters is you from the city centre/down town. Like if my house is one kilometre and two hundred meters (1 km and 200m from centre) from city centre my house number is 1200. Easy. And one side street is even and the other side is odd.

Now the problem that I would to fix.

Please! delete this wrong 283 because there isnt two 283 house number at the same avenue.

There is only 283. Please detete the house number bellow

Hola @antigerme según tengo entendido que la numeración de las calles es aportada a Maps por los registros de catastro de cada ciudad. El catastro en cada ciudad depende del Estado y es lo que sitúa cada propiedad en un lugar (numeración) específico. Probablemente entonces si hay 2 ubicaciones 283 en ésa avenida es porque así le fue informado a Google por el registro catastral de tu ciudad. Por éso no te aceptan la modificación.

Desconozco la vía correcta para modificar la numeración de una calle, no sé si un Local Guide lo puede hacer.

Hello @antigerme

Local guides or map users are not allowed to edit such things. These thinks comes under polygons and only maps team can make these specific edits.

If any google moderator can help than you may stay here, else I’d suggest you to reach Google maps help forum.

Make sure to keep an evidence along with the screenshot of last edit made by you on maps.

This is a very prevalent in my city Lagos. in a lot of streets, the google map numbering is quite different from the actual street numbering.

Unfortunately google maps are imperfect! You need to contact tech support. That’s what I did. I had a similar situation where the map displayed the wrong street, which is legally called differently, so there I constantly had problems with taxi=( had to explain that the map displays an invalid street. Infuriated! Then turned to support and thank god it was heard). Btw I also ordered a designer house number in the https://baliandboo.com/collections/house-signs. Now my house sign is very different from neighbors. So, everything is much better!
