I feel ashamed to say I have never attended the local-guides meet-ups. And hence I thought of organising the meet-up myself. I am going through lots of discussions regarding the hosting of first meet-up and discussions re meet-ups. One thing I am really confused now is the purpose of meet-up. Is meet-up all about meeting only? Or Do the attendees really visit places? I am planning to explore some areas of Kathmandu when we local guides meet in two-weeks time. How should I prepare for the meet-up so that it will be fruitful for local guides as well as google maps community?
