I want to show you first flowers, that can be found here in Ukraine in early spring. Nature awakes and grants us with these little flowers - the first signs of the upcoming spring beauty.
First are snowdrops. They are protected by the law and there are not so many of them now in open nature (as for me the last one I saw was in mountains about 10 years ago, but it depends on the region), still people can grow them in their yards, they grow very well in Southern regions, like Kherson.
@Abdoado , they do smell. But those first flowers’ smell far from roses, it differs from grassy to strong grassy Only those first white ones they smell so gently, so beautifully, that you want to close you eyes and keep this pleasure with you.
@AbdullahAM , you flowers are so beautiful and the way they are planted even more! What is really surprising for me is that I know all the flowers you posted, the difference is that you hove lots, like parks of them and we do not, and usually grow them near the houses or buildings only. We are on the north of the equator too (Sumy, Ukraine) and latitude is much norther than yours but flowers are the same!
All flowers, you posted, we have in late August-September.
First one is pronounced “heorhina”.
Second one is pronounced “podsolnuh”.
Third is “malva” and it is one of national symbols of Ukraine.
Fourth is “salvia” or “shalfey” - my absolutely favorite one.
And some trees on the the first photo also looks familiar.
