As a google guide, I try to use my knowledge of Architecture to find new places and try to visit, either with my friends or alone to help different people (vegetarians, kids, adults, wheelchair-users, etc) know what to expect, if it is a place that suitable for them and have an idea of the place they intend to visit.
When I find out or hear of a place I have not been to before, I make as much findings about the place. Some months ago, I was working on a Tourism assignment, I found out about the Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC), Lagos. Nigeria that has a 401-metre long canopy walkway which happens to be the longest canopy walkway in Africa. I made more personal findings about it, suggested it to my friends for our next outing as a group. Subsequently we went there to mark one of us birthday.
Adding missing places to google map for me, began when I found out my high school was not on the map; I added it as a missing place on the map and provided information about it, it was updated on the map, I then developed interest in adding missing places to google map, plus it excites me and gives me a sense of purpose knowing that I helped someone out there and my contributions are implemented on google maps.
