Hi @SholaIB and everyone,

First, congratulations on your Road Mapping Champion badge! :tada: Your journey and contribution to the Local Guides community are truly inspiring.

I would like to ask something related to road updates on Google Maps, specifically in Cambodia. I’ve been actively contributing by adding places, updating roads, and sharing reviews to help the local community. However, I’ve encountered an issue where the road editing feature is still not supported in Cambodia. Every time I try to update a road or add a missing road, I receive the message:
“Unsupported region. Your feedback is important to us. We can’t fix map issues in this region yet.”

I’ve seen this message for a very long time and I wonder if there is any update or future plan from the Google Maps team to enable road editing in Cambodia?

If anyone has experience or can guide me on how to escalate or get more information about this issue, I would really appreciate it. :folded_hands:

I know how you feel @SophatCHY. I was very reluctant to get involved in mapping activities when my own country was unsupported. Then one day it happened. Another LG alerted me that he checked and my country was now open for editing. Strange enough, after that home start, I find myself mostly mapping roads in other countries away from home.

The answer to your question is a long one. Nevertheless I’ll make it short. I got this badge because I have organised Thousands roads addded campaign TRAC. Please Read all about it here !!!. Moreover I have also added 23 Thousands roads on Google maps. Therefore my Road champion badge is as a result of these. The same for the other 2 local guides with me in the photo above.

Feel free to start adding roads or join us next season whenever we have an event. Keep active on connect and lookout for posts on TRAC.
