Filmation day for the connect live19 application

Hi My name is Jairo Cajamarca and I’m local guide level 5 from Colombia. South America

This is my aplication video for to the connect live 2019.

For me was little difficult to summarize the conten of my material in 1 minute, for that reason I talk “running” like flash or Usain Bolt jaja. Was a really Challenge talk so fast and tell all that I want to tell about my experience like local guide on google maps. So in this post I want to tell that experience of a quiet and calm way.

I love travel and to take pics and videos when I travel. And I love to share it on maps because I have to think how my photos can be useful for users of maps and not only for my, so my way to take the photos has been changed. from that i shared on maps. I have to put me in the place of the maps user and analize which is the relevant information for the place that I want to tell, which is the information that exist of the place, take the photo like someone can guide another person like a virtual guide without an presidential guide.

I’m an architecture student and one year ago I bought a litlle drone that I call “The enterprise” for to see the terrains of some architectural proyects, and I’m sharing photos in google maps from 2016, So recently I decide share my aerial photos on google maps thinking that this kind of photos and videos could be really usefull for the users in Google maps. I also describe the places and I share opinions on Google maps but the photography now is my main way to help on maps. and its really funny for me

Now my 131 and 10 photos have 111 797 views.and I recived the beggining director.

I like ride bicycle on the roads to the villages near to Bogotá and one day I thinked that to combine the photographic material of one of my favorite landscapes “Salto del Tequendama” with text and music edition could be a usefull material for to show my way to contribute on Maps.

One of the reason of the beauty of the colombian landscapses its the abrupt tophographic terrain where three mountain ranges come together for to form the Andes Mountains that its part of all South América

“Tequendama’s Waterfall” or Salto del Tequendama (In spanish) In Charquito, near to Bogotá. Was a important place of rituals for the antiques natives, The Muiscas

In 1923 was built the building for Carlos Arturo Tapias on the shore beside waterfall like a Mansion for elite people, after in 1950 worked an Hotel, abandoned for 20 years and now its a museum.

The River of Bogotá its that feeds the waterfall. Now the water its contamined because many waste are thrown to the river and its immposible to use the water. The river is dammed before the waterfall for to generate electric energy, So the size of the waterfall has decreased.

This its a trim of the material that one filmation day… Adventure funny way: Bycicle+Drone

Some of material wasnt used because was very long duration or have abrupt camera movements but is beauty to remember the edition work and to see how this aplication video mean a challenge in that I tryed to get better photographies, This forced me to go further.

In this capture its included an slow backgraund, the flight plan and finally an fast landing toward the “control tower” and photos of the pilot and the co-pilot

This video show the altitude and the map of the travel on bycicle by Strava.

Now only a few days for the results of the connect live postulations and I’m asking to the universe give me the opportunity to be part of the connect live.

or shared on google maps.

I hope to see you soon!
