fascinated with the fort

Fort Marlborough (Indonesian Benteng Marlborough, also known as Malabero) is an English fort located in Bengkulu City, Sumatra. It was built between 1713-1719 by the East India Company

when I visited here ten years ago, this fortress still appeared as it was. now this fort is like a museum filled with various exhibits. starting from an exhibition about the history of the construction of the fortress to an exhibition about the forms of resistance of the local people. the fort directly facing the sea really looks great.

Hello @Dhilah ,

Thank you for sharing this travelling destination in Bengkulu, do you have to pay to get in the fort? From the pictures you shared it seems like there’s not a lot of tourist there.

Ah yes, every tourist only needs to pay Rp. 5000 to get in the fort. at that time I came in the morning, so there were not many visitors.
