Family Time in Serene rainforest resort , Wayanad, Kerala

Rain Forest Resort, Wayanad , Kerala. Set on 9 hectares of tropical rainforest, this serene resort is 5 km from the Lakkidi View Point, 8 km from Pookode Lake and 25 km from Thusharagiri Falls. The resort is very peaceful place. You will get a camping feel. There is no noise outside. The resort is full of greenery, trees. They have activities like cycling, trekking, birdwatching, bow & arrow and also a big size swimming pool. The service is very good. Staff is friendly and eager to help. The food is amazing and they make specialized Kerela Cuisine for every guest on request. The chef served very authentic and delicious food. We also got authentic Kerela oil massages which was very relaxing. The resort provided bicycles for riding and we enjoyed riding between the mountainous region. It is a bit far from city so if you want to go to Wayanad, you need your own vehicle. They also provide separate stay and food for drivers. Also, the highlight was the different types of birds at the place. It is almost musical with the sound of nature - birds, trees, wind… Good place to relax and rejuvenate.

Hello @Anvika_Footprints

Although your post is quite informative, there are many selfies in that.

Hopefully, you are aware of guidelines for placing photos on Google Maps where it is discouraged to display selfies.
I suggest you go through this article “https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/Help-Desk/What-photos-should-I-share-on-Google-Maps/ba-p/1969933” which suggests:-
“Avoid sharing selfies and group photos. These photos don’t help to represent the location, so save them for a different platform”.

The “Connect” site also expects the same behavior and possibly the other user is pointing towards that.

Hello @Anvika_Footprints ,

Thanks for sharing your travel adventures on Connect! I am interested to read what food did you try and which is your favourite moment?

I’ve noticed you have uploaded a lot of pictures here on Connect and while we love seeing photos, I wanted to remind you of this best practice noted in 14 helpful tips for using Connect.

If you want to share other photos, please add a link to an album on Google Photos or to any other place where you have these pictures stored, so we can all take a look.

You might want to read the Local Guides Program Rules so that you are aware of what we consider as best practise when it comes to posting on Connect.

And last but not least, as @C_T mentioned in his reply, please avoid uploading a lot of selfies both on Connect and Google Photos in order to protect your own personal safety and privacy.

@C_T , I removed the solution from your reply as there is no question asked that needs to be answered.

Hi @MoniDi

Thanks for your message. I am learning about Local guide and connect and for sure i will keep in mind while posting. Also, i have stopped posting selfies as you mentioned.

On this trip we have tried different types of Payyasam , its a very popular sweet dish. It comes in different varities and flavours. Also we tried the famous malabar fish in authentic kerala style.

The best moment was when my mother tried the Zipline adventure sport. I was so amazed to see her determination and confidence of doing that in this age. You can check the video on the below link.

Thanks

Hello, @MoniDi I did not mark that as a solution.

I was also wondering how one can mark a post with a solution since it wasn’t appearing in in How-tos.

One curiosity. Is it possible for somebody else other than the originator or moderator to mark an answer as a solution?

Hi @C_T ,

Thanks for asking. Only the owner of the post or a Google Moderator can accept a certain reply as a solution to a post. It is possible to mark solutions in every board but it is not necessary. As I mentioned before, it’s best to accept solutions only where an answer to the original post is required. Here is more information on the topic How do I mark comments as solutions?
