“Falling for Vermont” is a 2017 TV movie by The Hallmark Channel. The story is about a best-selling novel author based in Boston who decided to escape from the media and city frenzy. But unfortunately, she had a car accident that resulted in a short term amnesia in Vermont . A doctor (also a single dad) who is a Vermont resident helps and takes care of her during her memory loss. So, the love story is started here. Watch the movie to know what happened when her memory recovered
After watching this movie, I just knew that there is a state in the US called Vermont. Although the filming location was not in Vermont, but rather in British Columbia, Canada, they did a really good job to set the place exactly the same like in Vermont.
Located in the northeastern of the United States, Vermont could be a perfect state to visit especially during fall and winter season. The foliage colors during the fall season are totally beautiful. The best time to see the beautiful foliage is from the end of September to the middle of October. Spending the winter here must be amazing as we could enjoy the beautiful snow views and do ski.
Vermont is the home of many farms, artisan foods, fresh produce, maple syrup, cheese, wineries, and breweries. This state has small and peaceful towns along with the friendly people. Such a good idea to escape from the hustle bustle of the city. Wishing to spend my both fall and winter holiday in Vermont someday
Cycling during the day to the evening while exploring the breweries might sound perfect, right?
Last but not the least, I would like to visit Ben & Jerry’s , an iconic Vermont based ice cream parlor chain where we could join the ice cream factory tour. The unique thing is they have a Flavor Graveyard complete with the tombstones in order to honor the ice cream flavors that are not available anymore. @Velvel you are correct!!! Vermont is really a beautiful state! I have also wanted to go to the Ben and Jerry’s plant for YEARS and YEARS!! I’m currently only an hour away from it at this moment and it is closed for COVID… HUGE SIGH! I, like you, will one day make it there
I’ll have to check this out! I’m not big into Hallmark movies but every year around Christmas my wife binges on them. So, I’ll put this on the list for me to watch with her.
Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel are always beautiful. Just like your wife, I’ve watched several Christmas movies from there (even several months before December), and really enjoyed it!
“Falling for Vermont” is not the part of Christmas movie, but I recommend you and your wife to watch it together.
I would like to tell you, pease add @ before the name to communicate with fellow Local Guides on Connect, so that the one you mentioned will get the notification.
@Velvel I haven’t My extent of Vermont is driving through it which is beautiful… and visiting covered bridges which I hope to write about before the week is out
@Keegan Your wife and I are very similar. I’m not a rom-com girl year-round but those Hallmark movies really get to me. Between the scenery and the sets it is like taking a 90 minute serving of “cozy” on a screen.
I loved it! @Velvel I knew about Vermont almost as you did, I was a fan of the tv show Scandal, the story about a POTUS and his chief of campaign then they got in love and Mr. President build a mansion in Vermont to her haha
