Hello. A fake public marker named “качуньки хата” was incorrectly created at these coordinates: 49.4802545, 25.4291439. In reality, this is a private residential house, and there is absolutely no bar or commercial establishment at this address. This marker severely violates the owner’s privacy and is a malicious prank. Our community has already submitted multiple user reports via Google Maps, but the location is still there. Could a moderator please look into this urgently and remove this point from the map for everyone? Thank you.
Hi @solomia, welcome to Local Guides Connect! I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with this malicious prank. Having a private residence incorrectly marked as a public establishment is a major privacy issue.
Since you and your community have already tried using the standard reporting tools on Google Maps and the marker is still there, you did the right thing by bringing it to the forum. Let me tag @ErmesT and @MortenCopenhagen so a Connect Moderator can take a closer look at those coordinates and escalate this to the Maps team for removal.
Hang in there, hopefully, they can help get this sorted out for you quickly!
Hello, @solomia, I’m sorry to hear that you are facing these issues. I tryed to search on Google for these coordinates and didn’t find any public business place there. Could you please share the link to the Business on Google Maps?
Regards,
Alexandre
Thanks for the tag, @Ayaanali
Hi @solomia
Looks like the listing mentioned by you is no longer in Google Maps, probably because removed after the several reports mentioned by you
If is still there, do you mind to share a link in Google Maps to the listing, instead of the coordinates? I am asking because sometimes I newly established listing cannot be seen by simply exploring maps.
However, a search using the name was providing a pin that disappeared immediately.
If you still see the place it is likely just a local cached pin on your device.
Hi @aysima,
I reported the issue to the relevant team for further investigation.
Hi @MoniDi thanks very much.
