Nanga Parbat really is the killer Mountain!
It gives such a bossy look, like it’s calling out to you “climb me if you dare!” It stands out among all the other mountains around. You keep looking at it for a while and you start to feel so insignificant, so small.
Here are some pictures of Nanga Parbat and the the famous Reflection Lake from my trip to Fairy Meadows back in July 2019.
If you ever get a chance to go, please don’t hesitate even for a minute! The road to Fairy Meadows (and by road i mean: Look at the photo below) is a little scary (a lot scary…) and then there’s a horse ride of around 3 hours (or if you prefer to hike it would take around 4-4.5 hours) and THEN you reach one of the most beautiful places of Pakistan, Fairy Meadows.
It was one of a lifetime experiences for me, having to hike for around 2 hours (and almost half of it was AFTER DUSK) after which my lungs told me to go to hell. Then Alhamdulillah found a horseman and rode on the horse for a good one and half hour. And let me tell you, horse ride on a MOUNTAIN on a pitch black NIGHT was really something. Do try it sometime
Some of the houses there were somewhat 80 years old.
