Shinjuku, a vibrant district within Tokyo, is widely known for several reasons, but one of its most remarkable distinctions is that Shinjuku Station is the busiest railway station in the world, serving an enormous number of passengers every single day. Beyond its transportation significance, Shinjuku is also famous for its energetic nightlife, entertainment options, shopping, and countless activities that attract both locals and tourists.
Among the many iconic spots in this district, there is one attraction that has become almost a must-visit for anyone traveling to Japan: the Shinjuku 3D Giant Cat Digital Billboard. Located near the East Exit of Shinjuku Station, right beside a busy street crossing, this massive curved LED display showcases an adorable 3D animated cat that has captured global attention.
Every evening, crowds gather to watch the cat’s various promotional clips—sometimes playful, sometimes dramatic—and to capture photos and videos as souvenirs. It has quickly become one of Shinjuku’s most photographed landmarks.
Before traveling to Japan, I had already listed this spot as one of my top places to visit, and it truly lived up to my expectations.

I’m also sharing above a few photos I took during my visit—hope you enjoy them!
If you have ever visited this display during your trip to Japan, feel free to share your photos in the comments as well.
Two other Local Guides [ @Trishatishu & @Designer_Biswajit ] accompanied me during this visit, which made the experience even more memorable.
