Hello fellow travelers! Last year, in March, I had the opportunity to visit one of the most picturesque regions of Pakistan, the Swat Valley. It was a memorable experience that left me awe-inspired by the natural beauty and rich culture of the area. In this post, I will be sharing my travel experience to Swat Valley, Kalam, Doedand Lake, and Malam Jabba.
Swat Valley is located in the north-western region of Pakistan, near the Afghanistan border. It is a mountainous region and is often referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Pakistan’ due to its scenic beauty. The valley is filled with lush green forests, crystal-clear streams, and magnificent mountains. During my visit, I had the opportunity to explore several parts of Swat Valley, including the beautiful Kalam Valley.
Kalam Valley is located in the upper part of Swat Valley and is known for its stunning landscapes. The valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and has a number of waterfalls, including the majestic Mahodand waterfall. The view from the top is simply breathtaking, and I highly recommend taking a trek up to the waterfall for a closer look.
During my visit to Kalam, I also had the opportunity to visit Doedand Lake. The lake is located about 20 km from Kalam and is a popular tourist destination due to its crystal-clear waters and stunning surroundings. The lake is surrounded by green forests and is an ideal spot for camping and hiking. It was an unforgettable experience to camp by the lake and wake up to the sound of birds chirping.
Another must-visit spot in Swat Valley is Malam Jabba, which is a famous ski resort. The resort is located at an altitude of 8700 feet and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. During my visit, I had the opportunity to ski down the slopes and take in the magnificent views. The resort also has several restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine.
In conclusion, my trip to Swat Valley, Kalam, Doedand Lake, and Malam Jabba was an unforgettable experience. The region is filled with natural beauty and is a must-visit destination for any nature lover. I hope my travel experience has inspired you to visit this beautiful part of Pakistan.
