Taken on the Eid day in June, 2019, The picture shows all the industrial cargo ships rest near the bank of the river Shitalakkha, Narayanganj, Bangladesh. This river is one of most crowded and abused rivers in Bangladesh as there are hundreds of industries and factories located on the river shore and the industries use the river both as a transportation medium and a dumping ground for their industrial waste. On the Eid day as most of the industries are shut down, River Shitalakkha gets to have a day off amidst her hectic schedule of hustle and bustle through out rest of the year.

Eid day is a national and religious holiday in all the muslim countries around the world including Bangladesh. It can be compared to Christmas or Pooja. People usually start the day with saying prayers in the mosque and then they have a family get together, they cook special meals, they visit friends and relatives, hug one another. There are two Eid days in an year. Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul adha. This photo was taken on the holiday of Eid ul Fitr. Thanks for your comment.
