This post is dedicated to this board and the very fun loving foodies on the platform. I have loved this section of connect right from my very first day on connect. Most of my meet-ups has a little foodie part attached to it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Map Edit or photo walk etc. Today just for the sake of exploring I got this new corner and it’s just made for me and us as foodies. It’s fairly new in town, not too expensive, cool snazzy interior name it. I am in a new country of my missionary assignments now. It’s not my first time here to work, but it’s my first time to be here since I became active as a local guide. I am planning to explore different parts of the country. I plan to reachout to local guides here but no response yet. A meet-up will be so cool, that will add to my well of experience as a local guide that explores different country along the West Africa coast. Expect more historical and fun posts from here hence.
Any local guide visiting is welcome to explore along with me.
you can get the food delivered to you at the convenience of your home. They have delivery guys.
The food was very tasty and fresh.
I got about ten pieces of barbecued chicken wings. Lol
I paid in cash but there is other payment option(Orange money transfer)
$15 for a decent meal of french fries and chicken wings
It’s my first time to dine here(with a colleague though)
I enjoyed the experience
I added it to the map and it was approved instantly
Additional information
I was quite disappointed there was not a ramp or any other accessible features around. The chef possibly is Lebanese and did a good job at chicken wings. I enjoyed the lunch so much that I devoured even piece of the chicken wings I was served.
I can’t add a link to the restaurant because I have just added it and it was also approved. I enjoyed the lunch, hope you enjoyed the post. TGIF happy weekend to all.
Oh yes my friend @SholaIB .That lunch looks very good.It was also your first time in that new restaurant of Monrovia outskirts and everything was ok.If you don’t mind please tell me about the drinks you had that lunchtime and what do you drink for lunch ususlly?
This is without a doubt the most delicious spread of some yummy looking dishes that I have seen recently
It is a treat to the eyes and hope it was to your tastebuds as well
You covered the place nicely via the photos @SholaIB
Your comment “service was cool and it could be improved though” speaks volumes of your decency
Further, summarizing the best parts of the place under a title that reads ‘fun-facts’ shows a lovely heart you have got - I deeply admire these subtle traits, my dear friend
It is my sincere wish to have food with you, chatting, hopefully in the near future - either in India or at a place in W. Africa.
Thank you for commenting and even asking further questions.
In West Africa we don’t usually have hot drinks with meals here. We often have soft drinks instead so I had a power malt drink. That said I think there’s a little cafe attached to the place where you can get some coffee, tea and some other strong drinks.
In the menu they have ice-creams and smothies etc. I am sorry I didn’t pay attention to the drink part. What drink would interest you most really?
Thank you kindly for the friendship and collaboration on connect. I always value your comments not just as a moderator but as a close buddy. Connecting here on connect has been cordial for both of us.
The taste bud part was the best part of this lunch out. The barbecue sauce, the crispy chicken wings, the nice French fries I enjoyed everything. Even the little time spent relaxing there was great. Its a kind of place to have a meet-up of local guides.
Fingers crossed dear Tushar you never know. Either in India or somewhere along the coast of west Africa. Keep shinning and keep guiding like a champion that you are.
@SholaIB .I just wanted to learn more about west Africa habbits for lunch. It is interesting to know your favourite drinks. And I hope you will share more amazing restaurants times with us.
A thousand bucks for a comment from you on my post. Thank you for looking through and for good comments. Although the photos are supposed to feed your eyes not make hungry. L L. I did enjoy it so much that it will not be nice not to share it with connect you know.
Regarding the outline pattern,It’s good to be dynamic especially when it comes to writing. I wouldn’t like to bore local guides or even moderators with cumbersome long difficult to read posts. Lots of nice posts her on connect but the lengthy and pattern of writing does put local guides off atimes.
The name of the restaurant caught my attention and quickly reminded me of connect. A simple name yet means alot. Long enough for a reply now. Thanks
Yes I’ll make sure to share more of what’s obtainable here in West Africa. I have shared alot of dishes and recipes of Ghana and Nigeria and even some of Liberia. I like to showcase our African cultures and pattern.
I don’t always eat out,I prepare some of my meals at home. Nevertheless busy schedules does create opportunities to explore. It could be cheaper and time economical to lunch out on some days.
