Chitchat on the Nile is the title of a book by the Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz, the first Arab writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988. The setting for the book is the banks of the Nile in Aswan.
The common element in my journey to Luxor and Aswan was the Nile River. On the banks of the Nile, the atmosphere is tranquil, and the views are breathtaking. While sailing, I contemplated the beauty of the natural scenery on either side of the river, where the history of the Egyptian civilization is reflected in the ancient archaeological sites. The pure air and the warm touch of the sun made the atmosphere more enchanting, and I listened to the melody of the waves and the sound of the wind gently rustling through the boat.
The trip was like a dream, a memorable experience filled with magic and beauty. I look forward to repeating it in the future, as if living in an artistic painting that combines the beauty of the river and the greenery of the trees along its banks. I cannot forget the moments of relaxation on the ship’s deck, enjoying the warm sun and the gentle breeze. These moments brought a sense of peace and happiness while sailing on the Nile.
