Hi everyone,
My name is André and I live in Dakar, Senegal. I’m a freelance web developer, content writer and translator, which means that I spend most of the day on my computer. To break with this routine, I like to discover cafés and other suitable places to be productive on the go. Therefore, a big part of my contributions are related to places with good food and fast internet while being quiet enough to focus.
There is no Starbucks in Dakar but if you are looking for sun and peace, you can work a few meters from the beach at La Cabane du Surfeur.
There are many cafés and restaurant with a particularly fast internet speed (more and more places are equipped with optic fiber) where you can also meet interesting people, from tourists to fellow freelancers from many origins and backgrounds.
I personally like to disconnect from the internet and work a couple hours at Le Pellican , which is a restaurant in Dakar’s only park. I also can’t resist the urge of having crepes and ice creams at Ci Gusta or CRP & Co
