Explore the Wonders of the Universe at a Planetarium Near You!

Ever gazed at the night sky and wondered about the mysteries of the cosmos? :stars: A planetarium is your gateway to space exploration—right from your city! :rocket::sparkles:

:telescope: Watch breathtaking celestial shows

India is home to several iconic planetariums, including Nehru Planetarium (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune), Jawahar Planetarium (Prayagraj) Birla Planetariums (Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur), and many more!

I have visited the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM) Planetarium in Kolkata when Maps did not exist, and the Jawahar Planetarium in Prayagraj recently. Jawahar Planetarium is located within the Anand Bhavan complex, the former residence of the Nehru family. My review of the planetarium is here. It is a coincidence that my most-viewed photo on Google Maps is of Anand Bhawan, and my second most-viewed photo is of Jawahar Planetarium.

Thank you for this superb question @K.K.Sharma Ji
I missed it previously.

I feel proud having visited 5 Planetariums so far:

  1. Nehru Planetarium in Mumbai 1991
  2. Delhi Science Park Planetarium 2001
  3. Pune Science Park Planetarium 2023
  4. Bengaluru Nehru Planetarium 2018
  5. Wichita Planetarium USA 2008

Unfortunately, I have a post and photos only from the last one:

Excellent post on the Planetariums across the country @K.K.Sharma ji
While I visited the Nehru Planetarium in Delhi recently, it only had access to 3D shows, the actual planetarium was under renovation.
