Explore & Road to Dhaka International Trade Fair-2022

The Fair is like a festival for Bengalis. In the fair there is a lot of joy and culture. Different types of fairs are held in different parts of Bangladesh at different times.

One of them is the Dhaka International Trade Fair, the most popular in Bangladesh. All the people of Bangladesh have a curiosity about this fair. Everyone tries to come to this fair from far and wide and many of them participate spontaneously.

In this year 26th Dhaka International Trade Fair started on 01.January 2022 at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.

At present I am living permanently in Barishal. I went to Dhaka on 31st December with special needs and the fair started on 1st January. I had the opportunity to go to the fair.

I did not want to miss the opportunity to go to this year’s International Trade Fair, so I went on 02 January 2022.

From the very beginning of the fair till last time the fair was held in MujibNagar where there is little space and traffic congestion is created in Dhaka and due to various other problems they have created a big and open space in Purbachal permanent address for DITF. To enter the fair you need to buy a ticket that costs 40 TK and 20 TK for children.

There are two ways to go to Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center. You can go from Kuril or Gauchia.

The fair authorities have made a special arrangement for the visitors of the fair with special two-storied buses from Kuril to the Fair.

If you take a double decker bus from Kuril, you can reach the Fair with 30 TK. If you come to Fair via Gauchia, you can get a BRTC bus from Gauchia bus stand to Kuril. You have to pay 40 TK for a ticket. You have to get down under Kanchan bridge and from there you can come to the Fair gate with 10 TK with a rickshaw.

When I went to the fair, I experienced two roads. I went to the Fair via Gauchia and I came back from the Fair via Kuril.

When I went to the fair there was not much crowd at the beginning but now due to the large crowd of people at the fair there is no car available when return from the fair in the evening.

So I think it’s best to be sure how to get home after evening before going to the fair.

Along the way I not only enjoyed traveling and the natural beauty but also contributed to Google Maps.

When I was on my way to the fair, Gauchia sat down and it was time for my Zohar prayers, so I needed to search for a mosque & instantly I opened Google Maps then searched by typing “Mosque near me”. I saw on Google Maps that the location was showing in one place and the mosque was somewhere. I immediately edited the place and put it in the right place.

After entering with a ticket you will see an open space and a small pond in front of the main building. There are flower tubs around the pond and there is some Red Lily in the water that will catch your eye.

After walking some distance from the entry gate, this time you will enter the main building. After entering the main building. In front you will see Bangabandhu Pavilion which has photos of various activities of Bangabandhu and history, on the right side information service and police control room, on the left side Mother & Children’s center.

At the Dhaka International Trade Fair, companies from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iran, Japan and other countries of the world showcase their products in this Fair.

In the Fair you will find domestic and foreign cosmetics and beauty aids, electrical and electronics products, furniture, home appliances, footwear and leather goods, sports items, sanitaryware, toys, stationery and imitation jewellery products.

This fair has a variety of local-foreign delicious food and seasonal Pith.

The owners of each pavilion installation at the fair have tried to make an exception by decorating their own. Each stall is arranged in a different way and the whole environment is pleasing to have.

This pavilion is completely different from other pavilions. What I like best is that the pavilion is decorated with a variety of small trees beauties that make it a garden’s abode.

Of all the food shops, I like this coffee shop more. One of the reasons is that a cup of coffee can be bought for only 20 TK, you can enjoy the beauty inside this fair and you can have coffee while sitting in the shop.

Security System

  • The exhibition center has approximately 160 built-in CCTVs considering security as a priority.
  • An additional approximately 60 CCTV cameras have been installed at various important places of the fair grounds.
  • Adequate archways and metal detectors have been provided at the entrance of the fair.
  • A full-time fire brigade will be deployed at the fair to prevent fire accidents.
  • The police control center has been deployed keeping in mind the safety of the visitors.

Special Facilities

  • There are information center
  • :mosque: Mosque for the visitors
  • :atm: Several Bank booths for the visitors.
  • The provision of primary health care at the Fair.
  • Considering mothers and children, mother and child centers have been set up in the Fair.
  • :wheelchair: This fair is friendly for people with any kind of disability who use wheelchairs. Wheelchair Riders can visit the entire Fair without any type of problem.
  • :wc: Separate toilets have been provided for men and women

Those who planning to go to the fair must follow all kinds of government prohibitions and keep mask and sanitizers to protect your health. Protect yourself and keep others safe.
