An umbrella and a pillar, which are the remains of a huge stupa built in the third century BC, are on display in the premises of the Sanchi Museum. These remains were found in the village Panguraria Budhni Tehsil, District Sehore, located about 75 kilometers from Bhopal.
According to information provided by the Archaeological Department, this place must have once been a major center of Buddhism.
This place is out of reach of tourists but there are great opportunities for those who want to explore. Certainly there are many history lovers who will be interested to unearth many immense facts which will guide the tourists.
