I like to travel to other language pages. Yesterday the Indonesian, today is French. You can easily know the food, culture and tourist attractions of the country.
The 35 languages you can travel in are listed below:
I sometimes check posts on the Home, but there are posts with no language. I suggest to set up to reach Local Guides in your neighborhood!

If you could not find your language in the list, you should contact moderator. you should propose IdeaExchange. But, as @TraciC said there is no plan to add language now. If many people hope that, it may realize.
One suggestion if I may: we really encourage Local Guides to post ideas on the Idea Exchange over contacting a Google Moderator as that’s where we manage what the community would like to see. Currently Connect is available in those languges and we aren’t planning to add new language soon, but Google Translate is indeed enabled in more languages.
Hopefully, we can continue to encourage people to select languages when they post to help build out those areas!

BTW, I feel that the language label is much useful to find friends who can give advice each other. But, now it is difficult to find the each language page. Beginners can’t get there. Many time a moderator move them post to the language page. I will also post this problem and idea to IdeaExchange.
I’m Indonesian. I can only communicate in Indonesian and slightly English.
But when I want to read someone’s post that was written in other languages, in Japanese, for example, I always use that Google Translation toggle.
Just like here in your post, I couldn’t understand (and of course I couldn’t read) comments that was written in Japanese. Hahaa… But then I just simply use that language translation toggle.
It was not perfect, I think. But at least we can understand at some points (sometimes I’m a little bit guessing what it really means). But it’s okay.
The same thing when I want to read posts that was written in Spanish, French, Russian(?), etc…
I really same situation of you. When I went to Indonesian Page, I could’nt understand sometimes… So, if I use Japanese, I try to write simple sentences without slang for translate easily. Or, In a few years, Google Translate will be even better😁

Don’t you understand Japanese? There is no problem because there is a machine translation.
