Rekawa beach is the only place on the island where sea turtles come to lay their eggs. They come in groups or alone in the dead of the night when it is pitch black. We are not allowed to use regular flashlights because light can make turtles turn away and get back to the ocean instead of coming to the beach to lay eggs. Rekawa beach by the Rekawa lagoon is truly an awesome place to enjoy nature.
