I’ve done a bit of searching on this topic and couldn’t find answers to the below;
1.The feature to add events is not available for all users but I had the feature and can’t find it anymore. Has it also been removed for some users who were using the function?
- I couldn’t see if or how many points you get for adding events?
Guides should be able to add events with a RSVP function where you can get points for every user who RSVPs.

Hi, @Robyn_L , I suggest you learn more about how to create a Local Guides Meetups here. You’ll have to submit a meetup, and after it being approved by the Local Guides Team, it’ll be created a post on Connect with an RSVP link. So far, you don’t get points both on Connect or Local Guides by hosting a meetup.

@Robyn_L If you are asking about Events displayed in Maps, which are usually tied to a specific location, as far as I know, it’s not a feature released to everyone. I have seen a handful of people talk about the feature, and it’s not exactly tied to a geography as well, as many others in the same country don’t have that feature. For some of them, as you pointed out, the feature went away eventually.
Most of the time, events for a location in Maps are added by businesses through Google My Business. There is actually an event feature for the location they own, and that would show up in Maps. That is however separate from Local Guides program.
Let’s see if anyone else can give their own experience about this.
