The tombstones reflect a blend of Gothic and Indo-Saracenic architectural styles, complete with domes, carvings, and inscriptions in English and occasionally in classical Indian designs.It was used throughout the 19th century by British officers, soldiers, and their families who lived in Kanpur’s cantonment town.
