Escalation by Level 10 Local Guide: Extensive Nomenclature Errors in Chhattisgarh Region and Proposal for Authoritative Audit

Dear Sir/Madam @DeniGu

I am writing to formally report a high density of factual errors regarding village names in the Narayanpur district, Rajnandgaon, Durg Districts of Chhattisgarh. Despite my consistent contributions as a Level 10 Local Guide—having reached the highest tier of your contributor program—my recent feedback submissions regarding these specific linguistic errors have not been reflected on the map.

The errors (visible in the attached screenshot) affect both English transliterations and Devanagari script for villages including Taragaon, Dhaudai, Chhotedongar, Brehebeda, and Madamnar. In many instances, the Hindi script is phonetically incorrect or entirely mismatched with the local official nomenclature.

Credentials for Authoritative Correction:

Level 10 Local Guide: I have reached the maximum contribution level, demonstrating a deep understanding of Google Maps data integrity.

Linguistic Authority: I hold a Postgraduate degree in Hindi, ensuring that Devanagari script and English phonetics are perfectly aligned.

Professional Background: I am a retired Commandant with over 27 years of service in the Indian Navy and ITBP, currently serving as a Chief Security Officer in this specific mining region.

My Proposal:
Given the abundance of errors in this geographically sensitive area, I offer to conduct a comprehensive manual audit of the village names in this sector. I request that my account be flagged for Expedited Review or granted Direct Edit Rights for this specific region to ensure these corrections—which are vital for local administration and emergency services—are implemented immediately.

I look forward to a direct response on how we can collaborate to ensure the accuracy of the Rajnandgaon/Durg/Bastar/Narayanpur map data.

Sincerely,

Tarun Kumar Banjaree

Hi @tarundgg

Thanks for pointing out these issues.

Such data issues are better dealt with in the Google Maps Help Community.

Google will not enter into a partnership with individuals, and they will not trust individuals.

Instead, if you can dig up official Maps from local authorities showing the correct names, you can seek help in the above mentioned Help Community. Start with one village and learn how to interact with the volunteer product experts so they get what is needed to escalate the problems.

Best of luck.
