Today, I want to share the inspiring story of Mamta Agarwal, the founder of Label By M - Artisanal Couture by Mamta. Her bridal boutique is not just a place for fashion; it stands as a strong example of female entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community strength.

Roots of Inspiration & Resilience
Mamta’s journey began early in life, watching her grandmother stitch and customize clothing. That spark blossomed into a full-scale creative brand. What truly stands out is her grit: even during her pregnancy, she commuted over an hour each way to manage her work. Just 40 days after giving birth, she returned to her venture, building a dedicated playroom right at her workplace so her children could grow up alongside her business. To streamline her daily routine, she eventually relocated to Delhi and set up her boutique in Shahpur Jat.
This story is very close to my heart as I experienced a similar situation in my life during my pregnancy. I used to work 16-18 hours a day with rotating shifts and hardly got any rest as travel time for more than 3 hours for pre and post pregnancy and delivery.
Sustainable Practices & Conscious Fashion
Sustainability is central to how Label By M operates:
Ethical Sourcing: She procures raw fabrics directly from traditional artisans in Chanderi, cutting out middlemen to support local craft clusters.
Upcycling & Zero Waste: Her studio crafts bespoke bags, designer apparel, and custom jewelry, while actively upcycling and refurbishing vintage garments into modern heirlooms.
Inclusivity: She recently hosted a photoshoots celebrating real women of all shapes and body sizes, pushing for authentic body positivity in local fashion.
Mindful Growth: Through her initiative Darpan, Mamta shares motivational insights and life lessons passed down from her Guru, aiming to inspire other aspiring female founders.

Being a local guide I checked if the business was listed on Google maps but it was not so added the Business with correct location and once it got approved I wrote an honest review and added photos to the Google Maps.

We also shared our concern for the wheelchair accessibility as there were steps to climb the store. The owner gracefully acknowledged the concern and said she would try to work on solving the issue. She was very humble and her courageous designs showed her beautiful designs in a magnificent way. I would recommend this place if you have a wedding coming up soon.
